SkillSoft is currently seeking mid-entry level sales talent focused on lead generation to join our Sales Development Team in Nashua, NH as Sales Development Associates.
We are seeking talent to staff an 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM ET shift.
We are looking for highly-motivated, professional team players interested in playing a key role in enabling our new business sales.
Upon successful completion of our in-house training program, the Sales Development Associates
will work as critical parts of our regional sales teams, supporting the field by researching, qualifying, and nurturing new business prospect accounts.
The Sales Development Associates are responsible for using primary and secondary research techniques to extensively research prospect accounts, identify and confirm key players, nurture prospects to develop solution interest, discover business priorities and requirements, and set appointments for the sales team.
This position will work directly with Regional Sales Vice Presidents and field-based Regional Account Executives.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with field sales team to perform research and other intelligence gathering in support of prospecting activity
Conduct proactive outbound contact campaigns (phone and email) to dive deeply into existing prospects
Closely monitor and assess prospects as they move through the sales pipeline
Support regionalization of select marketing demand generation activities
Contact, qualify and nurture inbound leads generated by marketing campaigns
Use CRM tools to institutionalize research and provide organizational visibility into activities and intelligence
Serve as regional expert for CRM tools
Preferred Skills and Experience Include:
About 3 years of successful direct sales, telesales, or sales support experience, B2B preferred
Proficient at gathering intelligence through primary and secondary sources, including Lexis/Nexis, Jigsaw, other online resources, and telephonically
Experience and comfort with prospecting/cold calling
Consultative sales strength - able to identify problems and recommend solutions
Highly self-motivated and hard-working
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Flexible attitude, with an ability and willingness to multi-task
Able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Professional business acumen
Technical acumen and interest
Strong people skills/team skills, with an ability to work with cross-functional teams
Experience using sales CRM systems
Desire to pursue a career in field sales
Bachelor’s degree preferred
