JOB STATEMENT
Position is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with the customer and implementing the equipment/projects marketing and sales strategy for the Mining Construction Technology Business Line (BL) in Mexico, Caribbean and Central America. The incumbent will work closely with all Product Lines, proposal and product support staffs to increase capital equipment/projects sales and profitability.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides sufficient detail to Company entities to facilitate timely bid/no bid decisions
• Sets the sales strategy for each project within territory and communicates that
strategy effectively to all the Company entities involved in the process.
• Coordinates communications between customers and all Company entities.
• Provides timely customer follow-up on all proposals issued and updates proposal
database regularly based on feedback from the customer.
• Participates in the high-level customer negotiations leading to timely, profitable
contracts.
• Gathers market intelligence within the market area and disseminates it as
appropriate.
• Provides customer insights into the product development process.
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent related experience)
· 5-10 years sales experience in heavy equipment/machinery, preferably dealing with capital equipment in mining or related industry
· Familiarity with minerals processing equipment and systems applications in mines, power plants, cement plants, pulp paper plants, and other industrial facilities is highly preferred
· The incumbent must possess strong communication and negotiation skills, be highly motivated, self-starting individual with the ability to plan, organize and work independently
· Ability to travel extensively 50-70%
OTHER KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
· Familiarity with the broad range of Mining and Construction equipment / products
· Solid knowledge base with business and applications, financial reporting, the industry, and the customers
· Business and relationship oriented
· Must understand and have the ability to implement our BU/BL strategy, and fully understand the financial requirements (including pricing, margin levels, SGA requirements, and inventory requirements/levels)
· Must have excellent people skills and is able to lead and motivate others.
· High sense of urgency and the ability to develop action plans, and meet deadlines
· Experience in complex matrix organizations / relationships

· Strong communication skills, plus co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces.

· Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
· Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks and working in a fast paced environment.
· Skills need to include building and managing internal relationships, negotiation skills and understanding of customer needs and market requirements.
· International travel required.
· Must be conversant in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
· Must be able to effectively communicate verbally.
