Sales Engineer

Our client has been established for more than a quarter of a century and is renowned as a market leader in the provision of electro mechanical repair solutions and complete plant maintenance programmes to a range of industrial and engineering clients. As a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic, self motivated and highly capable Technical Sales Engineer to complement their established and successful team.

Degree or experience qualified in an engineering discipline or able to demonstrate directly relevant experience gained within a comparable environment, your commercial account management skills, communication and technical abilities will be second to none - and you will thrive within a technically challenging autonomous role that will utilise all of your negotiation and presentation skills to their limits.

Based within the busy commercial team in Manchester, the successful candidate will become a key member of the company management team and will be responsible for driving profitability through both new business development and effective existing account management, proactively investigating and approaching potential new users of their maintenance service product portfolio whilst developing and nurturing existing relationships to their full potential and ensuring repeat business and enquiries are maximised on every occasion.

You will be instrumental in the creation, agreement and implementation of the business development plan to ensure that the realistic targets and result are achieved and will excel in all aspects of opportunity identification, product benefit promotion, contract and process negotiation and account maintenance and support, necessitating excellent communication and organisational skills alongwith exhaustive electrical technical knowledge and an enthusiastic and dynamic approach to customer satisfaction and service.

You will demonstrate previous experience in building relationships with key customers, influencers and end users to ensure targets are achieved, and will be experienced in identifying trends and utilising this knowledge for optimum new business development success. Additionally you will be flexible to travel to customer locations throughout the UK and a full driving licence is therefore essential.
