Job Description:
A Sales Engineer is needed for a Mobile Platform Applications Company whose platform enables Fortune 500 companies to offer consumers and employees feature-rich mobile applications in less time and at lower costs than any other solution. Leveraging a single application definition, applications are designed and developed just once, in a device-independent manner, and deployed across multiple channels, including native applications, device-optimized mobile web, SMS, web gadgets, kiosks, and tablets.

What you need for this position:
• 7+ years of professional experience in a technical role
• Strong understanding and experience with Eclipse IDE
• Vertical experience in one of the following: Travel / Hospitality, Retail, Healthcare, Financial Services, Social Networking or Mobile eCommerce
• Functional awareness of SMS Service Providers (SMS Gateway Providers, SMS Resellers, SMS Brokers)
• Functional experience in Web Services, XML and RSS
• Proficient with web reporting analytic engines for mobile applications (e.g. Adobe’s Omniture WebTrends)
• Relational database management systems concepts
• Knowledge of mobile web browser standards (WML, xHTML, CSS, WebKit)
• Knowledge of Web Services, Mobile Client Architectures, Services Oriented Architectures (SOA), .NET CF, J2ME, LUA, PERL, JSON, XML, Object Oriented Programming, WWAN/WLAN networks network routing / load balancing
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
What you'll be doing:
• Assist in delivering proof of concept / pilot projects to demonstrate solutions value.
• Travel to customer and prospect meetings, varying from week to week with an overall maximum average of approximately 50% nights on the road.
• Occasional travel (1-2 times per year) to Hyderabad, India for internal trainings and meetings is also required.
• Clearly articulate features and differentiate solutions offerings to audiences ranging from CTOs to Engineers.
• Create proposals and responses to RFI/RFP documents.
• Clearly articulate features and differentiate offerings to audiences ranging from CxOs to Engineers in the Financial Services domain.
• Draft and deliver targeted PowerPoint presentations.
• Demonstrate software applications and development tools, as well as 3rd party products that complete a mobile consumer software solution.
• Create proposals and responses to RFI/RFP documents.
• Conduct solutions workshops with prospects to define business requirements and processes.
• Review and present professional services estimates to prospects.
• Perform competitive analysis.
• Assist marketing with trade shows, case studies, creating demo scripts, demo videos and white papers.
