Sales Engineer Job in Birmingham, Midlands Uk
My Birmingham based client has an opening for an experienced Technical internal Valve Sales Engineer to be based from their prestigious offices. To offer support to customers and internal staff providing technical knowledge, quotations and/or practical advice on a range of valve types.
Tasks but not limited to
- Deal with customer telephone enquiries
- Prepare quotations providing all relevant documentation to support enquiries.
- Provide valve solutions and advise customers on product applications and technical queries.
- Project manage customer orders liaising with all sites.
- Liaise with sub contractors and other external stakeholders.
- Input all sales data accurately.
- Proactively seek potential new business and manage customer needs.
- Support external sales teams with technical queries etc.
- Recommend new products as and when the opportunity arises.
- Customer visits.
Skills and experiences.
- Educated to degree level within an engineering discipline or have formal engineering qualification.
- Understanding of pipeline materials and fittings
- Knowledge of water associated valves etc.
- Several years experience in an internal sales capacity or project engineering capacity in a distribution/manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communications skills
- Good understanding of the water industry
- Knowledge of pipework materials and their applications.
Salary £25k-£28K Monday to Friday 08.30am to 4.30pm. 23 days holiday plus stats.
