POSITION:  Sales Engineer

LOCATION: Cleveland

DESCRIPTION:   As an Sales Engineer the primary responsibility is to provide pre and post sales technical support for the company’s 3-D solutions at new client relationships in the assigned territory while growing existing relationships at assigned clients.  Support will include demonstrations, training, product positioning, competitive overviews, on-site consulting and benchmarks.  Interfacing with Fisher/Unitech personnel, SolidWorks representatives and other partners will be required for ensuring the integration of the product solution and addressing the customer’s design automation requirements over possible multiple locations.  You will be measured against key performance indicators and branch quota attainment on a quarterly basis.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform pre-sales standard and custom demonstrations for CAD, CAE and 3-D Printing. 

 

Deliver training in all aspects of SolidWorks Core and Professional products.

 

Perform basic post-sales activities, such as small implementations, project management, power user sessions, user group meetings, etc.

 

Perform marketing events, such as test drives, trade shows, webinars, seminars, etc.

 

Assist with basic technical support questions from customers.

 

Investigate and understand the internal business processes of potential clients; and strategize, present and demonstrate a tailored technology solution..

Hold a technical understanding of customer’s business objectives in order to map a strategy consisting of software, training, and implementation as a solution to those business objectives.

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
* Consistent “Top 10%” performer in previous work assignments
* 2-4 years of industry experience using CAD, CAM or CAE
* 2+ years of enterprise software sales experience a plus
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Computer Skills in MS Office, CRM, Web

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
