Location: This position can be located in Shelby or Gastonia, NC

Position Summary:
The Sales Engineers will combine technical knowledge with sales skills to market Flight Systems products, technologies and capabilities to existing and new customer within a defined territory to indentify bid opportunities, grow business unit sales and align with customers for long term strategic relationships. The Sales Engineer must work in a consultative role to understand customer needs and align them with a solution which can be architected around Flight Systems product portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

•Develop new business for existing products and services thru seeking new clients within a designated territory thru research, sales calls, trade shows and networking.
•Define and impletment new business capture plans with existing and new customers.
•Develop long-term relationships with clients through working technology aligment, strategic sourcing and customer intimacy.
•Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
•Create and present technical presentation customer to convey Flight Systems market position, technical leadership and value proposition.
•Customer contact and focal for all RFP/RFIs
•Create and present to management for approve Bid/No Bid presentations defining the opportunity, strategic rationale, bid strategy and key bid factors.
•Create and present to management for approval RFI/RFP response Executive Sumarries with bid financials.
•Define and understand any barriers for entering new markets.
•Solicate and flow back to Flght Systems “Voice of the Customer” feedback on technology trends and customer needs to help insure customer aligned IRD.
•Continuously monitor industry activities and trends,

Essential Skills and Experience:

•Business development experience in aerospace or high tech systems environment
•Sales marketing experience
•Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
•Problem Solving – abilty listen to customer and present Fligth System product solutions.
•Proven track record of effectively identifying and winning new business opportunities and managing customer relationships
•Technical capability, preferably with an engineering or technical education background
•Ability to understand and explain related technical issues, thorough knowledge of company products, all potential applications and associated technologies
•Strategic and innovative thinker
•Exhibits a bias for action

Minimum Education requirements:

•Bachelors Degree (Marketing or Engineering preferred)
