Sales Engineer- Construction Industry
Location: Taunton, MA
Job Description: Emond Plumbing is searching for a Sales Engineer with Residential and Light Commercial HVAC skills who can perform the following tasks:
Sales:
· Develop, maintain and build sales in allocated area by identifying new business accounts and opportunities.
· Build and maintain customer relations.
· Monitor market activity and review potential for new markets where applicable.
· Intake HVAC residential and commercial sales calls.
Project Estimating:
· Commercial and Residential cost estimating:
o Labor
o Equipment
o Material specifications
· Expertise in ductwork, pipe and equipment sizing, and cooling and heating load calculations.
· Knowledge of structural and architectural plans to determine fit of equipment and systems within the structure.
· Knowledge of AutoCAD.
Project Management:
· Manage projects from the design stages, through permitting and project completion, including equipment specifications.
· Purchase project materials.
· Manage on-site and off-site labor resources.
· Resolve job issues with inspectors, customers and contractors.
· Oversee projects during project site visits.
· Direct and supervise pre-fab and installation crews.
· Manage multiple projects.
· Communicate effectively using professional expertise.
· Consult with clients and architects.
· Manage projects to ensure the following:
o Complete projects on time
o Manage projects to complete within budgets.
o Provide accurate and complete set of “as-built” drawings.
The qualifications this individual must have include:
· Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems.
· Demonstrated successful completion of projects from development of sale through completion of installation.
· Superior customer presentation skills.
· Excellent negotiating skills.
· EPA Universal Certification (Recovery license).
· Licensed Plumber or Gas Fitter.
· Licensed Refrigeration Technician.
· Licensed Oil Burner Technician.
· Nate Certification.
· Unrestricted Massachusetts driver’s license.
· Minimum 5 years HVAC trade experience.
· Minimum 5 years HVAC sales experience.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent computer skills.
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
