Sales Executive
Xtract Europe, a subsidiary of the Mergermarket Group is looking to add a Sales Executive to its European team based in London. This is an entry-level position for a bright and eager candidate wishing to pursue a career in sales.
Xtract Europe is the European division of Xtract Research which was established almost 8 years ago and has over 350 buy side, sell side and law firm subscribers globally. Xtract provides fixed income research and data focused on covenants for high yield and convertible bonds as well as syndicated bank loans. We have a team of experienced finance lawyers that review Offering Memorandums and credit agreements to prepare in-depth covenant research reports designed to assist traders, analysts and portfolio managers in quickly understanding the covenant package and potential issues.
This role will offer the ideal candidate, the opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-growing and innovative research company with the ability to grow this position into a full sales role over time.
Key Tasks
- Researching and identifying potential target clients for Xtract Europe
- Cold-calling potential clients to pitch the Xtract Europe proposition with a view to setting up meetings for the sales team
- Assisting in running trials of the service and engaging potential clients in our research offerings
- Assisting in direct marketing efforts by putting together email campaigns and following up with interested parties
- Contribute to product development by relaying potential client feedback to the management team
Essential Skills
- Experience in a client-facing position (possibly client relationship management/account management) preferably in financial markets
- Confident and tenacious approach to prospecting by telephone
- Self motivated, driven and willing to go above and beyond job description
- Organised, presentable, personable and excellent written and communication skills
- Knowledge and interest in the financial services industry
