Overview

The individual is responsible for the sales of contract and non-contract services to new customers and for the account management of selected key accounts. He/she is expected to open and qualify new opportunities; manage the sales cycle including reporting of pipeline activities to the business; and negotiate and close sales.  Working with the Managing Director, the individual is required to manage their territory in line with the company’s business strategy and processes to develop profitable business and sustainable relationships.  He/she is responsible for the development and on-going management of outstanding working relationships with the support and field servicing teams to secure and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Sales

·         Strong sales awareness in all communications both to clients and prospects, but also to any other third parties

·         Ability to identify new sales opportunities and qualify these opportunities within the context of Meadowrose’s business and ideal client profile

·         Capable of negotiating and closing sales within the commercial guidelines of the company and with accurate forecasting in line with a monthly reporting cycle

·         Excellent approach to client service and long term relationship management utilizing good commercial judgment to maintain and grow Meadowrose’s revenues

·         Capable of strategic thinking in terms of planning and execution of opportunity and account management

·         Capable of planning and executing an annual marketing strategy (with the help of outside agencies)

 

·         Have the ability to analyse and report on marketing campaigns

Responsibilities

·         Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and client/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales – especially managing personal time and productivity

·         Plan a marketing strategy to enhance sales and help us keep in contact with our customers

·         Use professional telephone, presentation and selling techniques throughout the sales cycle in order to accurately determine needs, demonstrate results and obtain orders.

·         Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships

·         Attend and present at external client meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development

·         Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed strategy

·         Manage new business/existing account management mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims

·         Support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities e.g. product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing

·         Provide accurate and detailed pipeline and forecasts to Managing Director on the required basis

·         Use client and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
