The Position

 

This is a position that requires new business development activity and results.  We’re looking for the right person to continue our Pharma agency growth in the New York/New Jersey/ Pennsylvania territory.  You’ll have plenty of support and at the same time, be expected to meet your quota of over $1mm in annual sales by prospecting, conducting exploratory/discovery calls, coordinating proposals, innovative presentations, garner referrals and closing opportunities.  You’ll be developing and working your network of contacts, and accurately tracking activities in our CRM systems.

Background in sales working for an advertising agency with experience selling into pharmaceutical.  Must have a proven track record of opening new business.

Crucial Job Experience:

·          Agency experience

·          Pharma industry experience

·          Existing Pharma contacts network

·          Experience with CRM systems. Salesforce.com preferred

·          12+ years experience in marketing/sales

·          Working knowledge of pharmaceutical data

·          Understanding of data-driven communications strategy (Preferred)

 

Position Requirements:

 

·          Territory located on the East coast in New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania

·          Work from your home

·          4-year degree from college or university

·          Valid driver’s license

·          Up to 60% travel

·          Intermediate level use of MS Office software

 

Travel:

Nearly daily travel within driving distance of home office.  25% of travel could involve overnight stays.  A car is required for this position and RMI provides mileage reimbursement.  Travel to corporate headquarters for three days per month.  During first month of training, up to three weeks of time in        Des Moines, Iowa will be required.

 

Compensation:

 

Salary plus bonus. First year realistic expectations of $180K+$200

 

You must have previously made a minimum of $125,000 in a sales role
