Sales Manager – Nuclear Control Systems

 

My client is a world leader in safety critical electronic control systems. They are currently seeking an experienced sales manager to promote, market and sell nuclear control systems offerings to prime contractors and customers within the civil nuclear markets. As the sales manager you will also be required to bring in and win orders which are profitable and in line with business aspirations. You will be able to produce and implement successful strategic plans, providing inspiration for the supporting technical team to generate business opportunities, develop opportunities and close deals.

 

THE SALARY/RATE/BENEFITS

·         £45k - £50k + Benefits

·         Electronic and/or systems engineering background

·         Aerospace, Nuclear, Defence background is highly desirable

 

THE CANDIDATE

Sales Manager – Nuclear Control Systems

 

·         Minimum HNC in one of electrical or electronic engineering, physics, or equivalent relevant experience

·         Degree in relevant technical subject or professional qualification in business development arena would be desirable 

·         It is essential that you have a broad range of experience within the military/civil nuclear energy market and significant sales experience

·         It is also necessary that you have the ability to prepare and conduct technical presentations, including practical demonstrations

·         High level of negotiation skills with the ability to develop good business relationships with prime contractor, senior military and government personnel 

 

THE ROLE

Sales Manager – Nuclear Control Systems

 

·         Lead the winning business process from initial idea to contract signature

·         Achieve order intake targets – close deals

·         Gain and use an in depth knowledge of high integrity control and instrumentation to position the company at the forefront of its target markets

·         Manage / maintain effective information flow between the customer and the relevant internal Ultra departments

·         Monitor competitive offerings and emerging technologies to maintain Ultra position in the market place

·         Support the projects in Account Managing existing customers and identifying new customers

·         Support the business in Marketing and related activities as directed by the NCS Sales and Marketing Manager

·         Liaise throughout the business to develop and coordinate effective bids and proposals

·         Assist in organising exhibitions, press releases and other activities and maintain the Sales Enquiry Database

·         Provide a commercially minded focus on bid activities and assist in contract negotiations

·         Participate in the preparation of the market strategy and strategic plan and identify new customer requirements
