Job Purpose:
The individual will be fully accountable for the formulation, implementation delivery of the UK Retail Citibank at Work strategy business.
Significant exposure to senior colleagues across multiple business areas and geographies role holder is expected to be able to interact influence at a senior level.
Job Background/context:
This individual will be a direct report to the Head of Sales Distribution and will be part of the Sales Distribution leadership team. They will be the direct Line Manager for the Corporate Relationship Managers and Client Liaison Officers.
The individual will have significant direct interaction with corporate clients at a senior level, as well as with the other members of the UK Consumer leadership group. There will also be significant interaction with colleagues within other functional teams and business areas in both UK and other territories, especially in the formulation execution of strategic priorities.
As the primary acquisition channel for UK Retail this role is pivotal in the future growth and success of the UK Retail Wealth management business.
Key Responsibilities:
General
- Create a strategy that will deliver the UK Retail Bank Wealth Management Corporate Sales acquisition and migration targets support the re-positioning of Citibank at Work as a Wealth Management/High Net Worth proposition for our external Corporate Internal partners.
- Full accountability for the delivery of the Citibank at Work strategy, ensuring all financial measures of success of that strategy are achieved.
- Internal Stakeholder management and influencing to ensure full support of the strategy, ensuring the appropriate tools, MIS, systems and products are delivered to deliver the agreed successes. Significant proposition development from inception to delivery.
- Manage projects (Infrastructure Sales), to budget, scope and on time, such as:
- MGM/ Referral incentive - development of business case, collateral process, as well as ongoing support.
- NTB bank campaign - incentivised campaign for NTB customers.
- Key tactical activities that support delivery of the strategy such as Events/Seminars/Corporate Onsite visits.
- Developing new acquisition channels/partnerships/relationships that support the delivery of the strategic financial plan.
- Accountability for increasing the penetration rates (in respect of profitable accounts) that are referred and subsequently opened for both expat/international UK National customers, with primary focus on High Net Worth Segment
- Accountability for Increasing the number quality of corporate clients that refer profitable customers.
- Increasing the ratio of Citigold (Nigh Net Worth) accounts that are opened from corporate referrals, especially primary banking/salary Domicile clients who migrate to our Wealth management platform.
Financials
- Fully accountability for the delivery of revenue targets based on current plan future re-forecasts, primarily through:
- Achievement of Revenue targets, AUM growth new corporate acquisition.
- Achievement of significant incremental revenue uplift of customers migrated to Citigold segment.
People
- Leadership development of the CAW Relationship Managers (each of whom manage a portfolio of corporate clients) Client Liaison Officers support Team.
- Full accountability for the personal development of the team, through effective internal training programmes as well as appropriate external development activity.
- Creation of, and ongoing development of, a robust succession plan that will support future growth of the CAW Team.
- Be the best Team to work in as measured through team Voice of the Employee score above GCG UK business average.
- Proactive and challenging member of the Sales Distribution leadership Team.
Customer
- Drive continuous improvements in processes, productivity people effectiveness for the Team, with particular focus on customer experience enhancements and meeting clients needs.
Controls/ Risk
- Ensure that CAW enhancements are consistent with TCF objectives.
- Ensure all new projects implemented are developed with risks in mind appropriate controls are developed in response.
- Fully accountable for ensuring all franchise risk is minimised and within agreed parameters.
Sales
- Deliver plan or greater on new Customers, balances overall portfolio growth for Citibank at Work
- Deliver revenue, sales balance growth targets from Citigold across all channels including; Branches, Online Call Centre.
- Manage the capacity 'funnel' whilst driving lead generation centralised sales management to support sales activity through Campaigns.
- Develop lead generation management through centralised campaigns development of the CAW Support channel.
Development Value:
This role will provide the opportunity to run a business from formulation of strategy through to execution measured in financial results. A role that allows a significant degree of business (UK/EMEA and Global) interaction as part of the CAW global proposition, thus a high degree of inter-market knowledge and experience should result. In addition the level of required intra-department exposure will establish a significant level of knowledge of other Citi operations. There is significant scope to develop a range of skills with regard to customer service and relationship management and sales techniques.
Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
- Knowledge of the UK Retail Banking market and associated products is essential
- Previous experience in sales management, relationship management and achieving challenging sales targets is required
- Prior experience working with international banking products and in relationship management would be preferable.
- Previous experience in strategic/product development execution would be preferable.
