Sales Manager

 

Range

·         Compile analysis of market, customer, competitor and financial performance to generate strategy.

·         Work with category team to develop and deliver a comprehensive range strategy that meets our customer needs and identifies opportunities and risks.

 

In-Season Execution

·         Manage pricing ensuring that we are the most competitive in the market

·         Effective implentation of category initiatives.

·         Manage positive and negative trading conditions, developing risk management strategies and identifying market trends.

·         Identify and develop new and innovative business opportunities such as product/services, new technologies, route to market opportunities.

·         Prepare for weekly trading meeting by reviewing and understanding performance and presenting options to resolve issues.

 

Event and Promotional Planning

·         Define a Promotional Calendar for the year to achieve sales, market share and margin targets.

·         Manage price change, promotional message and item content briefings for all chains across the category.

·         Ensure that the category is well represented in chain advertising

·         Sign off in store POS, visual merchandising, communications and advertising.

·         Sign off promotional activity with Brand Marketing to ensure alignment with Chain positioning.

 

 

Exit Planning

·         Effectively managing products at the end of product lifecycle to ensure minimal stock levels.

 

Margin delivery and Supplier Management

·         Deliver both scanned and commercial budgeted margin value.

·         Review margin performance and recommend appropriate actions.

·         Manage relationships and formalise plans with key suppliers to encourage investment in our business ahead of the competition.
