Sales Manager with Engineering Background WORK LOCATION: Nationwide, preferably in Huntsville, AL, TRAVEL: 90% - 95% Travel, domestic and possibly some International DURATION: Long-term, up to 3 years with possible conversion to FT Our client has an innovative new technology a patented, revolutionary way to strip chrome plating and other hard coatings, including HVOF High Velocity Oxygen Fuel . JOB DESCRIPTION : The successful Sales Engineer/Manager will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities pertaining to an advanced innovative coating removal technology. It is the goal of the Sales Manager to introduce and increase the presence of this new technology in the commercial industries i.e.: construction companies, oil and mining, gas, and etc, military, and to develop new market niches. REQUIREMENTS: Seven (7) - Ten (10) or more years of proven success in sales and sales management in two or more of these areas: robotic systems, mechanical industries, aerospace, engineering, coating systems, large machineries and systems valuing over 1M+ BA/BA Degree in Engineering or a related field preferred but not required - Business to Business, outside sales experience required Extensive experience in: developing new accounts, designing sales plans and goals, market studies and research, creating strategic alliances and sales channel partners. Strong diplomatic and negotiation skills and experience negotiating major commercial sales and service agreements with customers Proven ability to perform in high visibility, high growth environments Able to travel about 95 of the time, mostly domestic with possibly some international Must have strong analytical, influence and innovative negotiation skills and capable of building strategic relations and influencing customer behavior Understands fundamentals of finance, corporate business goals and values, and the implication of those fundamentals in their business decision Strong Sales ability with an excellent understanding of the fundamentals of marketing and sales as well as finance; demonstrated problem solving skills necessary to deal with volatile, rapidly changing market condition Excellent oral, written and network communication skills to effectively provide/present information to internal and external customers General computer proficiency including standard Microsoft Office and industry software standards RESPONSIBILITIES: Primary responsibility is to sell and market, achieve sales volume, profit margin, grow market share, gain maximum opportunity in product sales and/or service, new accounts acquisition nationwide and possibly international Responsible for creating and nurturing partnerships with key clients and identification the changing customer and market area requirements, identify trends, threats, and opportunities to new and existing customers Develop short-term and long-term strategy for new account acquisition and account management of all established customers in the territory.
