Sales Manager – Asia Pacific recruitment

Excelsior's client is a well establish and market leading provider of Middle to Back Office Solutions for the Wholesale banking community. Excelsior has been asked to proactively search the market for a high calibre sales professional to focus on expanding their Wholesale Payments client base in AsiaPAC. They are looking for an individual who can work closely with partner alliances which have been successfully nurtured to support sales efforts. Where appropriate you will of course need to engage directly with prospective clients to ensure a successful sales campaign.

In this position you will need to understand client requirements from a sales perspective, as well as preparing and delivering product demonstrations and workshops. You will be responsible for providing customers and partners with business support, preparing RFI/ RFP response and proposals operating as the bid manager, effectively delivering software demonstrations to potential and existing clients, and being involved in closing business.

Responsibilities:

Work in conjunction with partners where required to close business opportunities

Present customized demonstrations of solutions

Liaison with other departments (e.g. Product Management, Implementation, Marketing, Development, etc.) to create a virtual account team

Travel as required to prospect and customer locations in the region on a frequent basis

Experience

Experience in enterprise level, application software with proven experience in solution selling with specific domain expertise in any one of the following areas: corporate cash management, high value / RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement), low value/ACH payments, international payments, payables, receivables, liquidity management, SWIFT, or securities and investments

Ability to develop proposals, demos and presentations tailored for each prospect
Able to present technical concepts in clear manner to customers through demos and proposals
Ability to present solution to business and technology executives

Desirable Experience Required:

Experience in Wholesale Payment Systems and how banks use Wholesale Payment Systems
Experience with SOA technologies at an overview level

Essential Skills Required:

Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills using the MS Office suite (emails, documents, presentations), with rigorous attention to detail

Strong sales presentation skills and public speaking

Excellent problem solving skills; ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets

Desirable Skills:

Multi-lingual would be an advantage

Understanding of software development lifecycle and technology

Toolset/Technology Skills
