SAGE Publications, a leading academic and professional publisher of books, journals, and electronic media, located in Thousand Oaks, California, with offices in London, India, Singapore, and Washington DC, is currently seeking four Sales Managers, Corwin Press. *Four Positions Available* The Sales Manager recommends titles that fill the clients needs. Additionally, the Sales Manager creates quotes and follows-up with clients to close the sale. Clients include school administrators, principals, regional associations, and Professional Development institutions. This position works with other departments such as Marketing, Editorial, Customer Service, Credit and Distribution and requires a high level of professionalism. The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following: SALES: Phone sales and relationship building with existing clients and new prospects Develop and maintain client relationships Create quotes which include pricing, availability, product codes and shipping costs Offer discounts for volume purchases Suggest and order comp copies for prospects Close sales Serves as company representative at regional and national conferences Meet with clients at conferences or at district offices, as required. Inform clients about new releases Research contacts through the Internet as necessary Updates Sales Force.com as necessary Recommends titles to ensure clients needs are met Maintains product knowledge through discussions with editors and self-education Handles incoming calls for clients in designated states Returns calls and answers emails in a timely manner to ensure client satisfaction Services the client to ensure impact, brand recognition and future buys Works closely with Sales Assistant regarding the handling of open orders. Researches client inquiries regarding price discrepancies, shortages, overages or replacements and presents solutions Examines purchase orders for correct data entry Maintains complete records in SalesForce.com, to include notes, activities, callbacks, opportunities with quotes and samples. Investigates and relays ideas for new books to Editorial. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Handles incoming calls for clients in designated states Returns calls and answers emails in a timely manner to ensure client satisfaction Services the client to ensure impact, brand recognition and future buys Works closely with Sales Assistant regarding the handling of open orders.
