Sales Manager – Financial Subscriptions recruitment

Our client is an international media group with an excellent reputation for providing news and content. They have an established foundation in global financial and business news. They are now seeking a Sales Manager to be based in Hong Kong and have responsibilities for selling in one their financial subscription services to clients across the wider Asia Pacific Region.

Reporting into the UK headquarters the Sales Manager will have responsibility for selling in subscription services to financial clients across the Asia Pacific region. They will play a crucial role in developing the subscriber base in the region, which is a key objective in the global growth plans for the business. The Sales Manager will be involved in all aspects of the sales cycle from mapping the market, prospecting business, setting up trials, and negotiating contracts. The role is responsible for looking at new business opportunities as well as retaining existing accounts. The Sales Manager will participate in devising the sales strategy and looking at new initiatives so will collaborate with global teams, product specialists and marketing. The role requires the candidate to do phone sales and meet clients face to face when and if required. Furthermore the Sales Manager will work towards regular targets, constantly build a sales pipeline an provide market intelligence on the region.

The successful candidate will be degree qualified with at least 5+ years of sales and new business development experience, ideally from B2B subscription sales with a focus on corporate or financial services. They have experience working within a multi-national environment with exposure to selling opportunities to C-level clients regionally. The candidate should have the confidence and skill to sell over the telephone and face to face. The ideal candidate should have proven ability in developing new relationships and a successful rate in generating revenue from new business leads. In addition they can demonstrate a consultative sales approach. The candidate must be creative, resourceful and work independently. They have strong negotiation and problem solving skills. Native English is a pre-requisite for the role.
