Our client is a Trade Marketing Excellence company that offers “full service distribution” for foreign small to mid-size companies active in the House Hold cleaning and Personal Care segment looking to set-up, develop or improve market positions in the Food Drug channels. Our client is active since 2005 on the Dutch market with exceptional results and securing the road for their international expansion. They have successfully done so by securing exclusive and long lasting contract with their ‘Principals’ (Brand owners), the unique relationships they have built with the trade as well as the unique product mix between Private Labels Branded products within their portfolio.

SALES MANAGER BELGIUM

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Manager Belgium is a newly-created role that provides a unique and perhaps even a career-defining opportunity for the successful candidate. This role reports directly to the company board of directors.   
Our client seeks a highly-capable, sales manager capable of putting in place the Belgian structure securing from the start the commercial success of the company assortment into the key retailers in Belgium.  

The Sales Manager will have the following responsibilities:

·         Strategic development of Account Plans for the Belgian Trade.

·         Customer understanding. Identifies issues and opportunities to best grow the categories.

·         Customer management. The Sales Manager will be the sole responsible in the annual negotiation and plan implementation throughout the year. Establishing effective relationship with customers at multi-level.

·         Active leadership to capture new opportunities with category management projects.

·         Ensures quality of execution together with external Sales Team.

·         Actively collaborates with the Management team to support as a sounding board for key decisions.

·         Accurate customer forecasting

·         Manage international contacts to ensure coordinate developments and introduction

 

Personal qualities and skills

·         Proven experience in an FMCG company in Belgium, in a position of Sales Manager (5-10 years minimum in KAM position).

·         Proven track record in leading commercial projects

·         A first people management experience would be a plus.

·         Proven track records in meeting annual commercial targets.

·         Proven track records in Introducing or Extending core categories.

·         Strong analytical and synthetic skills

·         Strong presentation skills

 

Technical skills      

·         Must have a clear understanding of category management concepts

·         Basic financials (PL) understanding

·         Mastery of Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel (must be able to use formula’s)

·         Languages skills: bilingual Dutch French + English
