Sales Manager, Ignites Europe recruitment
Ignites Europe is a Financial Times service covering the fund industry in Europe with a focus on retail cross-border funds. Ignites Europe is a premium product with a very high renewal rate.
The Sales Manager for Ignites Europe is responsible for selling site licenses to firms that manage UCITS, funds or provide services to the investment management industry. Since the coverage of this news service is focused on Europe, most prospects are located in Europe, but the position has a global territory and will also handle U.S. and Asian prospects.
The Sales Manager will have monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals s/he is expected to meet. This person will have the responsibility for bringing in new business through proactive outbound prospecting, follow-up on leads from marketing, and leads obtained at conferences or other types of networking. This London-based position is 80% telesales and 20% face to face meetings, and requires some international travel.
Qualifications:
• University Degree, preferably with a focus on business or marketing.
• Established track record of success in sales.
• Experience attending conferences and trade shows, conducting on-site and online presentations, and developing rapport with prospects.
• The ability to identify, contact and close key decision makers by telephone, in writing (email) and in person.
• The ability to conduct research and review extensive prospect data to aid in the sales process.
• The ability to maintain efficient customer and prospect sales data and reports in a CRM system.
• Foreign language skills (French, Spanish, German, or Italian) are not required but would be an advantage.
• Background/experience in financial industry.
• Clear ability and desire to work closely with marketing and editorial teams.
