Sales Manager Job in Charlotte, North Carolina Us
This position will be responsible for new customer development for York, PA, Circuit Board Assembly Contract Manufacturer. This is an Outside Sales Position.
Required Skills, Experience, Personal characteristics.
· 4 year college degree preferred, but not required, depending on experience and demonstrated success levels.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience selling in Circuit Board Assembly Contract Manufacturing. Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies or OEM who manufactures circuit board assemblies and/or electronic assemblies will be considered.
· Knowledge of printed circuit board assemblies and pcba manufacturing is preferred.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to interact with all levels of an organization both internal and external.
· A demonstrated ability to obtain new customers and find new markets.
· Must have an outgoing and assertive personality.
· Must have a high degree of integrity and honesty.
· Must demonstrate ability to work independently.
· Must be well organized and be able to set goals and priorities.
· Must have a working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Office and other software.
Job Requirements:
- Find and cultivate new contacts, obtain quotation requests, and develop quotation opportunities into production orders. Account management is not a part of this job description.
- Create new sales leads by utilizing web and Harris Selectory based pre-qualification, and a 50/50 blend of phone prospecting as well as prospect visits.
- Maintain accurate call report activity, as well as records on all communications with clients.
- Develop sales and marketing strategies.
- Represent company at trade shows throughout the country, although primarily in the southeast.
- Network existing base of contacts to introduce company to new markets and customers.
- Provide monthly territory reports and updates on sales activity levels.
- Utilize ACT database as means of documenting details of activity.
- Travel to customer locations as needed. Overnight lodging may be required.

- Salary and commissions geared towards ability to obtain new customers.
- Base salary and commission to be negotiated depending on experience.
- Automobile allowance is based on mileage.
- Computer and communications equipment will be provided for home office. There will not be an office at the manufacturing facility.
