Rubicon offers an exciting opportunity for career growth, for the right candidate to serve our customers in Japan. This position is based in our headquarters in metro Chicago area.
As a Sales Manager you will generate and grow revenues with existing and new customers. You will support our customers in Japan, drawing upon your technical knowledge of materials and materials applications, and your deep knowledge of the semiconductor industry. This position defines solutions for customer needs and requests, and champions all sales and technical activities designed to build relationships with customers. To accomplish revenue objectives, you will build internal relationships with engineering, quality, and production teams. Reports directly to the VP – Sales Marketing.
· Deliver revenue goals for the assigned customer base.
· Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics of key players in sapphire wafer supply chain to HB LED business – the LED chip maker, sapphire crystal producer, polished wafer supplier.
· Build upon existing customer relationships and rapport through heavy and frequent interactions.
· Expand customer and product base by identifying new opportunities for Rubicon sapphire products – especially large diameter polished wafers - in line with the company’s long-term sales strategy and product road-map.
· Provide information and follow up for all customer requests including quotations, technical information, delivery, sales acknowledgements, quality issues, etc
· Work closely with HQ team to prepare quotes, process orders, provide information and to support all customer activities.
· Work closely with engineering to create drawings based on customer-requested specifications and negotiate specification concerns between engineering and the customer
· Perform market research and analysis on potential new products, applications, and markets.
· 10 - 15 years in sales for high technology products
· Fluency in Japanese language, as well as English, (written and spoken) required
· Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
· Strong computer skills and communication skills.
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to multitask and must be a hands on team player driven for success
· Ability to self motivate and to gain cooperation both internally and externally
· Ability to travel internationally, extensively. (Road Warrior)
