Sales Manager Job in Leeds LS11 9SU, Yorkshire UK
Overall Purpose of Job:
Deliver new business growth throughout the North East by building on exising customer base and opening up new customers to the company.
Key Task Summary:
- Develop existing accounts providing sales growth
- Develop new accounts and sales growth
- Regular visits to the customer base to sell products and services with a view to increasing sales volumes
- Identify opportunities for similiar product/service sales currently not in portfolio
- Work with in-house sales teams to maximise sales opportunities
- Manage account profitability
- Drive margin
- Manage UK accounts by liaising with UK General Sales Manager to resolve any issues around delivery delays or damage during deliveries, so that solutions can be devised to resolve any issues.
Essential Requirements:
- 4-5 years’ successful sales experience
- Previous track record in sales generation
- Knowledge of the automotive replacement auto-electrical industry
- An established customer base
- Strong business development skills.
- Proven customer facing, commercial awareness.
- Engineering/Business Qualification.
- Based in North Yorkshire/Lincolnshire/North-East with regular travel.
Desirable Requirements:
- Worked as a sales representative/field manager for an established auto-electrical distributor
- Worked on council/government tendering contracts
- Have strong relationships with council, utilities and emergency services
- Engineering or Business HNC/Degree
