Sales Manager Job in London, London UK

Our client has an enviable reputation for quality and expertise within the IT training arena with an enviable client base. They are now seeking an experienced Sales Manager to manage the direct sales team and grow revenues in line with business objectives. Experience of the IT or IT training sector would be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities :

The role will have both an individual sales target and a team target, with the following objectives:

• To achieve team revenue targets
• To achieve personal revenue targets
• To manage and motivate an allocated team of salespeople and telemarketers
• To work within the agreed target markets
• To discuss the financial and business aspects of the team with the management on a regular basis. These are to include current sales figures, pipeline business, etc.
• To report on a monthly basis to the management on the sales and personal performance of each member of the sales team on a monthly basis
• To interview and recruit new sales staff in conjunction/agreement with senior management.
• To respond to tenders and conduct sales presentations
• To ensure pricing and discounting guidelines are adhered to
• To maintain up to date competitive information on the system that will be accessible by everyone in the company.
• To ensure all data on the databases is kept up to date and relevant
• To ensure that no course is sold without ensuring that all the resources are available for the successful running of the course.
• To attend customer sales meeting with the relevant sales staff.

Candidate Requirements :

• A minimum of 2 years sales management experience
• A minimum of 4 years working experience within the IT training or IT industry
• Strong, mentoring-biased leadership style
• Strong marketing, bid management and writing skills
• Ability to operate at all levels from day-to-day management to strategically planning of the sales team
• Experience in setting and achieving revenue and activity targets
