Position Overview:
FirstComp is currently recruiting a Sales Manager to manage new and existing business throughout Tallahassee, FL, Mobile, AL, and the surrounding areas. This individual will work from a home residence out of Tallahassee with frequent travel throughout the assigned territory. Specific job duties will include the following:
- Strengthen and develop both new and existing relationships with independent insurance agencies.
- Visit insurance agencies within assigned territory on a regular basis and facilitate agency transactions to maintain and grow business.
- Identify market potential, initiate sales process effectively and persuasively, close sales; expand sales through planning and persistence.
- Evaluate the performance of agencies within assigned territory.
- Work closely with Underwriting group to manage each agency’s book of business.
- Represent FirstComp at conventions and other industry related events.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, business related preferred.
- 3+ years prior business to business sales experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to develop long lasting relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience leveraging the internet for research purposes.
- Travel is routine and required.
