Sales Manager – Middle & Back Office / Trade Processing Software & Services recruitment

Our clienty is a well established software and services company focussed on middle and back office processes in the financial markets, and their clients include some of the major global investment banks, asset managers and hedge funds.  Due to significant growth prospects in Europe for their solutions they are looking to appoint a high quality new business sales professional to build on their success to date in the region with buy side firms.  

This opportunity provides the prospect to work for a very well respected, extremely successful and market leading organization already.  This is a new business focussed role, taking ownership for a UK buy side segment to develop “as your own”.  You will source clients, close deals and further deepen the penetration of the accounts, with a view to providing a whole range of middle and back office services and software solutions.  As you also help the company break into new market areas you’ll have the autonomy to develop implement your own sales strategy and business proposition.  This is a key hire requiring a high quality sales professional who brings successful track record of sales to the investment industry.

Appropriate sales professionals will bring:
-  A proven track record selling either middle office and/or back office technology solutions or business services (such as software, BPM or outsourcing) into the investment industry.

-  Experience in the areas of trade process automation, settlement, clearing, reconciliations and how to create operational efficiencies in these areas would be ideal.  Hence experience selling services for the likes of GlobeOp, Northern Trust, Pershing etc, or selling systems with for the likes of Fiserv / Checkfree, Broadridge, Information Mosaic, DST, Sungard, Peter Evans etc would be very appropriate.

-  New business sales by nature, with the ability to grow accounts.

-  The ability to articulate and sell a business benefit type proposition clearly
-  Strong sales process management skills, and entrepreneurial in outlook as you'll play a key role in helping expand the business generally.
-  Experience of closing consultative deals with long sales cycle deals.
