POSITION OVERVIEW:

This is a position for self-starters who are aggressive, hard-working, and looking to develop a long-term sales-oriented career.  Primary responsibility to generate promising new business leads for the sales team to follow up on.  Involves researching companies and people, performing directed outbound calls, cold calling, warm/cold leads follow up, networking, email outreach, etc.  Must build relationships with potential customers through intelligent and clear verbal and written communication. Much of the time will be spent reaching out to new business contacts, so candidate must be comfortable reaching out to many new contacts each day to deliver our unique value proposition

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to):

·         Achieve the required quantity and quality of outbound calls/emails/other outreach to prospects to qualify and convert enough new business leads to meet a monthly quota

·         Communicate effectively with established customers and new prospects to identify and qualify new leads and business opportunities.

·         Determine customer needs to provide knowledge and consultation with Advantix System’s solutions.

·         Perform market research into end-customer industries to identify companies and individuals who would constitute promising new business opportunities for Advantix

·         Answer/respond to customer inquiries and requests for product information and assist customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems and system application alternatives, building automation systems, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution.

·         Independently maintain and manage a pipeline of prospective accounts through the sales process.

·         Record daily and weekly sales activity reporting, including backlog and opportunity tracking, sales call activity, and related information in CRM (SalesForce.com) database and routinely query the system to identify and manage new opportunities.

·         Establish effective business relationships with decision-makers at all levels.

·         Collect, organize, and assemble data for reports, presentations and/or special projects.

·         Plan and prioritize personal activities to achieve business goals.

·         Consult with existing customers and ensure their satisfaction with our products and services and to build a strong referral base.

·         Work with the marketing and sales team to craft and implement sales strategies.

·         Learn product features and associated customer benefits of equipment and be conversant on application of those products in commercial and industrial applications.

·         Participate in industry events by attending trade shows/association programs and obtaining/providing product training.

REQUIREMENTS (including, but not limited to):

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field.

·         Desire to work in a rapidly growing clean-technology company.  Able to adapt quickly to availability of new products and new applications

·         Able to understand and communicate equipment and building specifications with engineering and sales team

·         Currently understand or be able to quickly learn how building’s cooling and dehumidification systems work

·         High Technical aptitude driven toward a career in sales.  Able to be persuasive when talking about technical/engineering features and specifications

·         Outgoing, enjoy reaching out to potential new customers, Enjoy a lead generator (cold calling) type role.

·         Able to maintain excellent relationships with customers, handle a high-volume of contacts, Creative thinker with excellent phone, email, and interpersonal skills. 

·         Articulate, enthusiastic and outgoing professional.

·         Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take initiative to get things done.

·         Superior follow-up and follow-through skills.

·         Self-reliant and self-motivated with entrepreneurial passion.  Desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with varied responsibilities.

·         Excellent listening comprehension, oral communication, and written communication skills. Must possess a strong command of the English language, both oral and written and effectively communicate technical information to diverse groups of people.

·         Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products

·         Technical sales experience.

·         Outbound cold calling experience.

·         Experience working with building contractors, architects, and consulting engineers.
