Practice Development Specialist Manager
Description:
The PDS Manager position allows a motivated, driven individual to join a growth company in the Aesthetic Medical Device industry in a sales, marketing and customer service capacity and make an immediate impact. This position will offer the unique opportunity to be a part of a rapidly expanding company that is selling exclusive, non-invasive aesthetic treatment technology to plastic surgeons, facial plastic surgeons and cosmetic dermatologists. The person filling this position will be leading the Practice Development Team who are heavily involved with key clinician customers, and be a part of a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment. As a new program, the main focus for this leadership position will be to spearhead the rollout of these positions to the field and ensure success of the program by helping to define goals, refine responsibilities, ensure accountability, and facilitate engagement and integration with the Territory Manager role. Maintaining effective communications with both the internal Marketing team about field needs and challenges and the field Marketing team about foundational marketing priorities and resource allocation is critical; close collaboration with the Regional Sales Directors is crucial as well
The Practice Development Specialist Manager will be evaluated on ability to lead the function that is driving procedural growth across multiple territories and regions, as measured by increased transducer utilization in PDS accounts. In addition, this individual will be evaluated on the overall level of integration and quality of monitoring/feedback regarding performance of the various Practice Development initiatives.
Specific Duties:
· Manage Practice Development Specialists in a day to day capacity by setting and measuring goal accomplishment, mentoring and providing direction, and supporting and escalating customer needs, as identified below, for each region.
· Act as the primary liaison with the field sales organization for the PDS Program: Support the Regional Sales Directors in their efforts to select key accounts for consideration for the program; lead the PDS team in collaboration with the Sales Directors/Territory Managers in assessing and ultimately identifying the new key accounts to be added each quarter
· Territory management activities, including but not limited to:
o Practice Marketing
§ Collaborate with Consumer Marketing to develop tools and resources for Practice Development Specialists to utilize in their roles
§ Provide direction related to gathering compelling before and after pictures with consents
§ Monitor participation in corporate-sponsored tracking programs across all related regions; use the data to drive demand / fine-tune areas in need
§ Assist in review of how practices integrate technology and how it fits/can be packaged with other offerings, providing direction and best in class practices related to practice integration
§ Provide direction and approval related to special practice promotion events
§ Participate and lead projects as a member of the Ulthera Consumer Marketing group to rollout new initiatives to the field
o Product and Clinical Support
§ Ensure the team is up-to-date on best clinical practices
§ Oversee the team’s effort regarding patient consultation coaching
§ Provide oversight on support of physician to peer presentations
§ Collaborate with Clinical Marketing to ensure an understanding of the photography process required for excellence with before/after photography
Skills /Requirements:
· BS / BA in clinical health care or business highly preferred. MBA or MSN preferred.
· Minimum 6 years of professional sales and/or marketing in medical device or pharmaceutical industry required.
· Minimum 3 years of direct management of a sales or marketing function
· Extensive healthcare customer (physicians, nurses, practice specialist) experience required
· Experience in creation of tools, processes and programs designed to drive effective and efficient marketing efforts at an owner-operated business level essential
· Basic understanding of graphics programs desired
· Strong understanding of corporate, clinical and regulatory processes
· Organized and process-oriented
· Goal-oriented and results-driven
· Poise and ability to tactfully challenge status quo.
· Strong presentation and influence skills essential.
· Experience in / knowledge of aesthetics preferred.
· Heavy travel requirement. Position requires travel nationally to all regions and frequent travel to the Arizona Corporate Headquarters
Relationships:
· Reports to Senior Director of Consumer Marketing
· Regular collaboration/coordination with Consumer Marketing Managers, Territory Sales Managers, Regional Sales Directors, Clinical Applications Specialists for each region, and Professional Marketing
