Summary: Manage key commercial business processes, help drive top line growth though new programs, maintain and enhance commercial applications, and measure the effectiveness of programs to maximize revenue potential and Operating Income.
Essential Functions:
Customer and Rebate Programs
- Manage the development, implementation, and administration of Sales and Marketing Programs such as customer loyalty and growth programs, customer rebate programs, etc. Includes analyzing and setting up existing, new or proposed program changes.
- Monitor the effectiveness of programs and recommend improvements.
- Communicate programs to the sales force and assist in launch to market.
- Maintain and enhance models and systems for tracking sales, rebate earnings, payments, etc.
- Oversee the generation of reporting for the tracking of sales, rebates, and payments to customers, for internal financial accruals, and for company records.
Contract Management
- Manage the administration of all customer contracts (National, Distributor, Independent Dealer, Rehab, OSS+, EDLP Advantage, Channel Partner, etc.) including pre-contract evaluation and analysis, contract language development, legal approval, system input, ongoing monitoring of customer compliance and assuring Invacare compliance (e.g. rebate payments).
- Assist in the development of contracts for new or modified sales and marketing programs.
- Manage the toll gate contracting process, including adherence to functional TCs, legal compliance reviews, functional management review, and signature authority.
- Help coordinate RFPs and solicitations with Sales management, Business Product Managers, and Finance.
Performance Metrics Analysis
- Manage the reporting of key indicators and analysis focused on functional metrics, sales variance analysis, sales force performance metrics, etc.
- Develop financial models, predictive modeling, budgeting forecasting tools, to help evaluate the impact of new programs, program modifications, etc.
- Develop or enhance reporting to assure availability of credible information and increase visibility to key operating metrics.
- Manage the completion and publication to management of a monthly Performance Package.
Sales Compensation
- Manage compensation plan creation, reporting, statement distribution, financial accruals, and payments related to the Sales Compensation Plans for associates and agents. Help develop, test, and implement compensation plan structures, and sales plan tracking mechanisms according to business requirements.
- Work with senior management to develop or enhance compensation programs to drive strategic initiatives.
- Oversee the administration of a Sales compensation system such as Oracle Incentive Compensation Module (current system).
- Develop predictive and scenario based modeling to evaluate compensation strategies.
- Maintain and enhance models and systems for tracking sales, spiffs, commission earnings, payments, adjustments, sales splits, etc.
- Work with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure proper payment of Sales Compensation.
Sales Administration
- Manage key Sales force reporting applications, processes, and models for the tracking of sales, performance to AOP, commissions, etc. at various business aggregation and summary levels.
- Assist the Sales Training Group with CRM activities related to sales representative performance tracking, visibility to rebate and other program performance, etc.
- Help the sale force drive sales funnel activities, selling models, SPIFFS, etc.
Demonstration Inventory and Marketing Programs
- Assist in administering the Sales Force Demonstration Inventory policies, procedures, and controls.
- Manage key controls such product tracking, sales requests, account analysis, physical inventories, etc.
Other Responsibilities
- Understand and enforce internal control procedures regarding Sarbanes-Oxley and separation of duties related to functional actives. Review and audit current process and procedure for adherence.
- Help coordinate application upgrades, validation testing, implementations, etc. as needed.
- Support key business initiatives such as “One Invacare”, CRM, sales cockpit, etc.
- Help drive process improvements and efficiencies, technology solutions, opportunities for simplification, and functional synergies.
- Additional responsibilities as requested or required.
Required Skills:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business related discipline, MBA is preferred.
- 7+ years Management level experience in a business function, specifically an area where business results are reported and analyzed (e.g. Sales Administration, Finance, or Marketing).
- 3+ years experience supervising and/or managing people/projects.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate results and present data in a way that is easy to use and understand.
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet software, specifically Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Applications or similar ERP applications such as SAP.
- Solid analytical skills and 3+ years reporting experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with directing system implementations, migrations, and upgrades.
- Prior experience with Commissions Management System, Rebate Administration System, or other Commercial Systems is preferred.
- Process improvement orientation and excellent organization skills.
