We are currently seeking a Sales Associate - PMA Specialist to join our Coverage – Australia Organization in Sydney.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gain extensive knowledge of MSCI Barra’s products, projects, methodologies etc
- Be proactive in sales efforts to achieve target revenue goals;
- Be proactive in promoting MSCI Barra products as the industry standard for portfolio management analytics;
- Visit existing clients in order to identify new revenue opportunities and retain existing business; Generate new leads;
- Identify and meet with prospects;
- Maintain accurate records regarding prospect/client visits, client conversations, finalized contracts, etc;
- Proactively solicit prospect/client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development;
- Provide feedback from prospects/clients to Marketing, Sales, Research and Product Development groups;
- Contribute ideas for sales generation to the rest of the sales team;
- Work with local staff in other roles to promote cross-sales, client retention;
- Work with other departments (offshore e.g. client service, legal, contracts, billing, etc) to ensure that all new prospect/clients requests/inquiries are managed appropriately.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Superior communication and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects
- Strong sales closing skills
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills
- Understanding of / experience in dealing with major international institutions including Asset Managers.
- Understanding of / experience in dealing with local financial industry
- Understanding of the Investment Management Process and quantitative knowledge
- Understanding of equity analytics models and products
- A self starter and highly motivated; ability to work individually and within a team
- 2+ years sales experience with a proven record of accomplishment (desired).
- 2+ years of experience in the financial service industry
- Bachelor’s Degree and CFA charter holder
- Ability to work across time zones when required
- Ability to travel to client sites interstate (overnight stays at times) and potentially offshore visits
