Sales Representative
Job Responsibilities:
The primary job of every employee is to provide outstanding customer service. We must do all we can to serve our customer's needs and to exceed their expectations with the best buying experience, product delivery and after-sale services in our industry.
Contractor Sales Associates at the Order Desk will be expected to possess the following:
- Computer skills, teamwork skills, quick learning abilities.
- Project a positive image, promptly greeting customers, ensuring all customer needs are met and the customer is happy with your work.
- Complete assigned tasks to the best of your ability, within the time frame specified, by using efffective time management techniques, asking questions and requesting clarification if details seem unclear.
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, change required, linear feet and square footage.
- Attend seminars, maintain a high level of product knowledge, keep current and actively seek out new information.
- Possess an in-depth awareness of the different branch operations and cooperate seamlessly with all employees in all departments.
- Willing to answer phones using a professional and friendly tone.
- Understand the tasks performed on the Order Desk, the daily duties responsibilities; receiving product, pulling orders, preparing orders for transferring product to other branches, labeling and maintaining stock and be aware of backorders and ETA's.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including Monday through Saturday between the hours of 5:30 am and 6:00 pm as directed by the needs of the business.
Qualifications
To be successful at this job, you must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily and perform the job in accordance with the company procedures and policies outlined.
Flooring background a plus, previous leadership or supervisory skills a plus.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and be able to lift and move up 50 lbs at times. Must have a clean driving record to be eligible for DOT Certification along with forklift certification.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents, operating instructions, procedure and product manuals.
Bi-Lingual a huge plus.
