Sales Representative, Flexible pipe, Central Illinois Job

My client is seeking a professional Sales Representative to sell polyethylene pipe to the agricultural, building, and municipal markets in the 'middle third' of Illinois.

You can live anywhere within the territory.  Ideal locations are Decatur, Springfield, or Champaign, but up to you.

Must have an agriculture background, but not interested in livestock-only background.  Pipe is sold to row-crop farmers, so need a background in grain.

The company will provide you with a small base salary, and you will receive unlimited commissions.  Company will GUARANTEE your income up to $80,000 the first 18 months.

You will operate in a protected territory.  Company will supply vehicle and cover all expenses.

Company pays 100% of health care benefits.

The company will NOT pay your relocation expenses; preference is for someone already living in the territory.  Might consider someone who wants to relocate to the area at their own expense.

Sell pipe directly to farmers (60%) and to contractors and municipalities (40%) through distributors in an established area. Cultivate and maintain strong personal and professional relationships. 5+ years of sales experience required plus an ag background. Looking for someone who can sell directly to famers but also polished enough to work with contractors, engineers, city governments, etc. Also looking for someone with a background/interest in soils, row crop farming, and agronomy rather than a livestock background. Candidates could also come from the equipment industry. 4 year degree. Illinois location and beginning annual income guaranteed to $80,000
