Manufacturer seeks an experience B-B sales professional in the Long Island, New York City area to grow its business. The factory primarily produces fashion denim jeans, casual knitted tops and sportswear that are sold to wholesalers, importers and retailers throughout the USA, Canada and other countries.
The manager will work on regular basis to establish relationships with buying agents in these various sectors in order to generate and promote sales.
Candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- 2 years inside/outside sales experience in the apparel wholesale industry.
- Have excellent understanding of how to establish marketing lists for various target markets.
- Ability to gather detailed information to identify customer’s needs and present solutions.
- Must be professional in presentation, tactful, positive, and an effective communicator.
- Be a Self-starter; having ability to plan, organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines and production schedules.
- Must be highly organized, detail oriented with updated daily task list.
- Have strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Minimum High School Diploma/College Education
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
- Establishing and maintaining client marketing lists
- Contacting potential clients via email, telephone, and personal meetings to introduce the factory’s product expertise and obtain client’s production requirements
- Communicating with factory to timely execute customer requirements from sample development to order delivery
- Initiate and build relationships and business through creative selling, leads, cold calls, mailings, drive-bys and travelling etc.
- Maintaining the visual and general up-keeping of the show-room space
- Setting up and dismantling stall at exhibitions and road shows
