An exciting opportunity now exists to join Distribution Solutions!  Due to growth of the company, we are searching for enthusiastic, hard-working, and driven Sales Representatives to join our team at our Memphis, TN, location.

 

Summary      

We are currently seeking a talented Account Manager / Sales Representative to join our team who will report directly to the President.   In this role you will be responsible for full cycle sales, from procuring and maintaining clients to providing an in depth analysis of needs, submitting estimates, obtaining the order and following through.

 

Responsibilities

•   Actively seek new accounts and represent the company to potential customers while managing current accounts

•   Solicits and establishes customer needs

•  SPrepare sales plans in accordance with outlined company goals/procedures

•   Negotiates price and terms within the context of company policy

•   Takes and submits orders for services

•   Develops expertise and knowledge of estimating

•   Consults with clients, vendors or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

•   Consults with and responds to inquires from customers and subcontractors regarding areas of expertise

•   Responds to customers concerns in an appropriate and timely manner

•   Confers with President and Vice President as needed to clarify information required for contract plan review

•   Participates in training assigned to sales staff

•   Develops, submits, implements, manages and reports on sales goals and business development plan in accordance with company policies and systems

•   Maintains product knowledge of existing and new product services

•   Gathers and forwards information on competitor activities

•   Assists in collections from delinquent accounts

•   Maintains close, positive working relationships with field and administrative departments

  

Requirements

•   Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in the pallet industry.

•   Three years or less in direct sales, not telemarketing or inside sales

•   Knowledgeable in and proven abilities with estimating in a pallet environment viewed as a plus

•  Highly disciplined, independent, entrepreneurial, confident, well organized self-starter

•  Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, with a strong work ethic

•   Excellent math skills

•   Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

 

Salary Information

•        Full Time Position

•        Salary – commensurate based on experience

•        Residual Commission – 10% based on profit from each new account

•        Expense Account
