Sales Specialist, Commodities & Energy

POSITION OVERVIEW:
 
To deliver the value of the whole firm to our customers by selling replicable and scalable packaged solutions to customer business workflow challenges in order to gain new business, win market share and increase customer satisfaction.
Selling Thomson Reuters specialized products or solutions including 3rd party products such as Platts, Argus or RIM etc to ce market participants, IT, business owners and end-users, building on reputation as a business, markets or technology expert. 
 
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
1.Delivers profitable subscription revenue for selected solutions, products services
2.Accountable for all stages of an opportunity from lead generation to closely aligning tightly with the overall account strategy owned by the account manager.
3.Expert in customer business workflow providing domain expertise relative to solution proposition
4.Work together with the account team (including client trainers) to ensure solutions provided enhance customer satisfaction
5.Cross-channel function, building on expert knowledge to target client base, recognise client needs and propose solution.
6.Develop senior level customer relationships to become a trusted business advisor
 
Scope and Impact
 
Supporting a specific region/country for a ce market segment and be involved in all stages of sales efforts right from prospecting, demo, proposal to closing the deal.
Provide input (feedback from customers) to segments on product content and functionality.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
 
1)Business Acumen : understand levers available to increase sales and to apply these principles to support TR's strategies; Knows ce markets and operations drivers behind customer decisions and ensures team members address these when preparing account plans and customer offerings;
2)Value Creation :Highly skilled at demonstrating the unique value created by TR's offering and making the business case as to how TR's offering is uniquely differentiated,
3)Enterprise Wide Thinking : Is highly adept at considering customer's larger business and strategic challenges in an enterprise-wide context and how they might be addressed through TR offerings
4) Strong entrepreneurial self-starter skills as well as a deep understanding of their market, engage with customers at all level in order to craft high-value solutions enterprise wide  
 
 
DESIRED SKILLS:
 
Sales skills and knowledge about various stages of sales.
 
EDUCATION:
A graduate with finance background. MBA is not necessary although will be a good to have qualification. Computer knowledge is must.
