Sales Specialist – Investor Relations recruitment

Overview:

The Sales Specialist for Investor and Public Relations is responsible for new business development and direct selling within in the corporate marketplace. Specifically, this position will work extensively with Investor and Public Relations departments of public companies and Initial Public Offerings. This is a quota bearing position that covers a broad customer market segment and assigned territory or coverage area.

Primary responsibilities:

Prospecting/cold calling for new clients to Thomson Reuters, and developing new business opportunities within existing customer account relationships Develop knowledge of industry trends and the competitive landscape in the Investor and Public Relations segment Identify, attract, qualify, propose potential Thomson Reuters solutions, and drive/accelerate sales closings to achieve gross sales targets through a consultative sales process. Develop and execute and/or assist in the development and execution of presentations and product demonstrations. Conduct need/solutions analysis Develop and maintain a database (sales pipeline) of potential and existing account penetration for sales management. Prepare timely and accurate client/account activity summaries and sales forecasts for management's review. Provide lead generation where warranted

Skills

Education:

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience; MBA or Master's preferred

Required Skills:

3+ years of systems/solutions sales experience within large enterprise

3+ accounts

Deep domain knowledge of the capital markets and corporate finance arena, also public relations. Proven track record of over-achieving quarterly and annual quotas Effective sales process management - call management, meeting management, pipeline management Strong team collaboration and execution of a defined territory plan Successful experience providing B2B data solutions Ability to influence and manage the buying cycle with C-Level executives Intellectual curiosity with a strong ability to navigate complex organizations
