We are currently looking for a:
Sales Specialist, Quantitative Business and Investment Management feeds (based either in Geneva or Frankfurt)
- You will be reporting into the Head of Quant and IM feeds EMEA, based in Geneva
- You will be part of an international sales team that is based and covers the Europe and Middle East territory
- The Territory that will be under your responsibility is EMEA East (Germany, Switzerland and Central and Eastern Europe)
- The location where you will be based are Frankfurt, Geneva or Zurich
The Sales Specialist, Quantitative Business and Investment Management feeds will be responsible to sell the appropriate Thomson Reuters (TR) quantitative product range (QA suite and QA feeds) and the Investment Management feeds suite (DDL, Datastream feeds, IBES, Worldscope, Reuters Estimates, Reuters fundamentals, etc.) in Germany, Switzerland and Central/Eastern Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a focused sales plan based on your allocated territory to grow our presence of the related products in the regions
- Pro-actively approach and develop our business in your territory by understanding and capturing client needs, applying consultative selling, developing relationships and proposing appropriate product solutions
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline in TRUST (our client reporting system) to track the client visits and sales activity done on a regular and rigorous manner
- Actively participate in team meetings and events and share your customer, product and sales knowledge with the wider team interacting with all internal parties involved (Account Management, Client specialists, Business segments,Marketing, etc.)
- Develop strong links with the Investment Management Division (Strategy team) to actively give client feedback on product development needs and competitors activity to improve our market share in this arena.
- Ensure you have a strong understanding of competitor products and services and how we can successfully position ourselves against them.
Mandatory academic background and professional experience/knowledge (please do not apply to this position if you do not ALL those requirements)
- Proven experience in the financial industry, strategic consulting firm or in a financial applications provider (5 years as a minimum requirement)
- Client facing experience or/and sales abilities
- Ability to learn and sell high technical and complex products (quantitative tools and feeds) to sophisticated customers, being comfortable in high technical environments
- With a good understanding of the different banking activities workflows, in particular quantitative analysis departments and investment management firms
- Highly focused, organized, self motivated, and able to deliver under complex situations and under high pressure
- University degree in a top ranked university in the region with proven good marks (above average). This would be verified.
- Deep Market Understanding of customers' business models in financial industry. Ideally, in the Investment Management industry
- Willingness to travel 50% potential travel required
- Proven Fluency in English, German and ideally French, both oral and written. This fluency would be tested
- MBA or CFA Charter holder or Financial markets certification would be a plus
