Sales Support Analyst – Cash Management recruitment
BlackRock’s Cash Management Group (CMG) is a market leader and one of the largest cash managers globally. BlackRock has managed cash portfolios since 1973. We serve a diverse range of client segments such as; banks, large corporations, insurance companies, asset managers, high net worth individuals, small businesses, municipalities (cities, states, etc.), foundations/estates, hospitals and universities. We reach clients via multiple means; financial intermediaries/third party sales, direct sales and portals. While each client segment has unique nuances, ultimately all of our clients are seeking safety, liquidity and competitive net returns.
Position summary: Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CMG International, the Sales Support role provides an opportunity for a motivated individual to gain experience in a client focused group, engaging with sales people, portfolio managers and other BlackRock groups. The candidate will need to quickly establish a strong understanding of BlackRock’s Cash business and client base, competing external products and regulatory context, plus be committed to enhancing the business operations and client service of CMG.
Responsibilities:
- End to end client account opening; collation of documents and liaison with clients in relation to anti-money laundering and ‘KYC’ requirements
- Own and run client rebate/retrocession process
- Answer client queries and respond to ad hoc requests for information by email, telephone and via the Cash website www.blackrock.co.uk/cash
- Ad hoc administrative and procedural project management, owning and enhancing relevant processes
- Providing analytical support for strategic sales initiatives and product development
- Support the liaison between CMG Sales and other internal groups (e.g. CMG Portfolio Management Group, Finance and Product Development)
Skills and Qualifications:
- Some operational background preferred, ideally with knowledge of client on-boarding and retrocessions processes and working with third-party transfer agents
- Critical thinker with ability to absorb information quickly and understand complex issues
- Disciplined and organized with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong quantitative and IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self motivated, flexible, proactive team player
- Previous experience in financial services would be advantageous
- Degree (or equivalent) educated is desirable
- European language skills an advantage
