Sales Support Associate recruitment
Responsibilities
- Respond to internal and external inquires for various product information/data
- Respond to and assist with multiple due diligence requests and RFIs/RFPs, including monthly and quarterly updates and portfolio manager commentaries on firm’s investment strategies
- Maintain detailed knowledge of internal/external data sources
- Serve as an expert across multiple analytics tools and systems
- Understand changes in the financial markets/global economy
- Knowledge of the firm’s portfolio holdings/structure
- Interact with Investment/Research Team and Compliance to review and obtain approvals of referenced materials
- Develop relationships within the firm in order to gain a strong understanding of the organization and ability to develop specialized content
- Prepare competitive analysis and product positioning for Iron’s primary investment products
- Identify, and interact with appropriate subject matter experts to obtain and/or facilitate creation of new content
- Identify and suggest process improvements, enhancements, and changes to manage the RFP response process more efficiently
- Perform miscellaneous job-related functions and ad-hoc projects as required
- Assist with the conversion of standard communications to fit business unit needs
- Work with data vendors such as Lipper, Morningstar, Bloomberg, etc. on new fund setup and to ensure accuracy of data for all existing funds
- Liaison between the client service teams to help communication/ensure consistent message
- Responsible for the creation/editing of written communications
Qualifications
Qualified individulas must work well in a very entrepreneurial minded organization, and possesses strong technical, investment and organizational skills. The successful candidate should have the following profile:
- Write first draft responses for RFPs, RFIs, and other due diligence questionnaires
- Adapt client presentations for sales purposes
- Perform investment analysis for competitive purposes
- Assist in writing quarterly reviews on firm strategies
- Manage data quality of content in investment manager and consultant databases
In addition:
- 3-5 years of work experience in Investment Management industry
- Detailedand goal oriented and have experience articulating complex systematic investment strategies in a straightforward, comprehensible manner.
- Experience answering and editing RFPs and due diligence questionnaires within the asset management industry
- Excellent oral, analytical and written communication skills with extreme diligence, accuracy and attention to detail
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work well under pressure. Ability to work well with a variety of people across all levels of the organization
- Superior research/analytical/problem solving skills
- Prioritize/work multiple projects at the same time
- A self-starter who can work independently and as a member of a team
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg a plus
- Proficiency in multiple investment and database software packages (e.g. eVestment Alliance, PSN, Morningstar Direct, etc.)
- Series 65 is required within six months of employment
- An MB A, CFA, CIMA or CAIA is a plus
