ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

 

 

·          The Sales Training Consultant will assist in the design, development, and implementation of training programs and materials to support the sales force needs.

·          Exceptional project management skills, independent problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others and to work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines are all qualities necessary to be successful in this position.

·          Work with the Sr. Manager of Sales Training and Development to analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.

·          Work closely with multi-functional teams, including sales leadership, product managers, and commercial operations personnel to identify and prioritize appropriate subject areas to develop training programs around. Once specific subject areas have been identified, work with the teams to design and develop the training material.

·          Develop, plan and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, workshops, webinars and self-paced online learning.

·          Apply project management techniques to ensure projects are completed on-time and within established budgets. Influence and motivate cross-functional team members to dedicate their time and effort in assisting with the development of the training material.

·          Evaluate the effectiveness of course content and make the necessary adjustments to existing materials and delivery methods, as well as gather new policy, procedural, and technical updates and ensure the dissemination of these updates through training curriculum.  Develop testing and evaluation procedures.

·          Manage third-party vendors to create stimulating training material. Obtain relevant content utilizing various training methods including online, classroom, and virtual classroom.   Tailor material for NAM’s, and Inside Sales.

·          Remain abreast of the industry, life sciences, and training related topics. Maintain some familiarity with competitive products.
