Wonderful Brands is the Sales Merchandising organization for Roll Global (www.roll.com), a privately-held $2.4 billion corporation whose consumer brands include FIJI Water, POM Wonderful, Teleflora, Paramount Citrus, Justin Vineyard Winery and Paramount Farms. The Wonderful Brands team is devoted to delivering to the customer and the consumer our high quality branded products which include Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Almonds, CA Cuties and POM’s Wonderful variety of pomegranates, arils and juice.
The Sales Training Manager will be based at our corporate offices in West Los Angeles and will support and help develop the Wonderful brands sales team whose members reside all over the US and Canada. This person is expected to be a pro-active creative problem solver and has the capability to develop and implement training programs that are effective and help the team achieve their goals. This position will report to the President of Wonderful brands.
Responsibilities:
- The Sales Training Manager is responsible for the design/delivery and implementation of training projects that contribute to the skill, knowledge and competency of the field sales force and on specific business needs. The Sales Training Manager will work closely with Wonderful Brands leadership on overall strategy to support the growth and success of this growing organization.
- Plans, develops and delivers training and development programs to the Wonderful Brands teams that align with product strategies including training classes and training workshops.
- Assist current team in the development of the sales training curricula.
- Conduct training courses with a specific focus on Professional Selling and Negotiations, Sales Manager, and Supervisory Training, Key Account Selling, New Hire/On-Boarding program, and Wonderful brands Sales force technology.
- Conduct smaller field based training as required.
- Address the ongoing training needs of the entire sales force based on sales direction and update ongoing programs, to help achieve Wonderful Brand’s objectives with Senior Management.
- Gains a thorough understanding of the development needs of the sales force and applies/upgrades training curricula accordingly.
- Keeps abreast of the current trends in training within the food/beverage industry and other divisions of Roll Global.
- Fosters a learning environment that focuses on development and retention.
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS Degree in Business or Related field
- 10-15 years experience as a sales trainer within the Consumer Packaged Goods or similar industry.
- Demonstrated experience building, designing and implementing new training programs and presentations in person and using other forms of media or e-platforms.
- Strong business acumen, excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software related to training.
- Ability to travel 20%
