Job Description Project Manager - San Antonio/Austin, TX We are currently seeking a Project Manager in our San Antonio and/or Austin, TX office to direct and perform highly complex or specialized aspects of engineering related projects for our Water business line. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to manage and direct a full range of projects and programs in the municipal community infrastructure market in the Austin and San Antonio area. The successful candidate will manage projects involving multiple disciplines and subcontracts as well as stakeholder, client and /or schedule challenges and project fees. The Project Manager ensures that the project team functions effectively, and she or he will perform a variety of selected engineering tasks including but not limited to: The project manager at a minimum must be Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Texas, have obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and have eight (8) to twelve (12) years of experience in water, wastewater, drainage or other community infrastructure type projects and can demonstrate their project management abilities. Candidate must have demonstrated municipal and/or private client experience in Austin or San Antonio market related to roadway, linear water/wastewater/drainage infrastructure, and water quality designs. The successful candidate will manage projects involving multiple disciplines and subcontracts as well as stakeholder, client and /or schedule challenges and project fees. The project manager's responsibilities are to ensure that the project team functions effectively and that projects are delivered on time and within the budget costs. He or she will may be required to perform a variety of selected engineering tasks including but not limited to: leading the development of major project proposals, directing project leaders and technical specialists in the development and implementation of project scopes, budgets and schedules. Inherent in this job is effective communication, prior experience, and the ability to share knowledge, experience, expertise and information between projects and disciplines. The project manager will also work to strengthen existing client relationships and develop future opportunities for the manager and the company. He or she will be responsible for building a high performing team by creating a work environment that supports teamwork and cooperation; attracts, retains, develops, and rewards talent. The project manager provides direction and mentoring to the project team members enabling them to gain knowledge, skills and ability to perform their role. The project manager will also recommend including formalized training, on the job training, coaching, and stretch assignments for project team members. Candidate must have proven excellent leadership skills, demonstrated ability to successfully manage diverse teams, and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Project.
