Sanctions Policy
Universal Banking Groups consolidation into London for Financial Crime leadership continues with the creation of this Head of Sanctions policy position. Reporting to the Global DMLRO you will be responsible for owing the sanction framework development, owning current and future state, being the champion of the sanction risk appetite.
This position will require:
- horizon scanning across UK EU OFAC legislation and keeping the business sanctions policy abreast of regulatory changes
- enhance, implement worlds best practice in sanctions polices and standards
- Ensure strong engagement with operational Financial Crime, and partnering with them on sanctions lists.
- Provide guidance/decisions on escalations of sanctions alerts sanctions investigations
- Undertake sanctions risk assessments, maintaining a future business risk issues readiness as required as Sanctions regimes and exposures evolve.
The ideal candidate will be saturated in Sanctions from regulatory perspective, coupled with deep understanding of its application within a multinational universal banking group- with ideal experience gained in investment/corporate banking wealth management
