SAP Accountant / Analyst
Hays Senior Finance is looking for an enthusiastic and versatile SAP FICO certified Support Accountant / Analyst with extensive SAP FICO experience for a 6 month contract with a growing business based in Tyne Wear.
As part of the Financial Management team, the SAP FICO Support Accountant / Analyst will assist in all aspects of SAP processing and reporting. Your role is to drive continuous improvement and develop reporting and automation out of SAP.
We are looking for a candidate who can transform the SAP BW reporting capabilities for the Financial Management team and the wider Shared Service Finance function.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Qualified (CIMA / ACCA or equivalent) or Qualified by Experience and have previously worked within Finance
* SAP FI-CO certified with good knowledge of SAP SD and SAP MM
* Excellent excel knowledge including lookups, pivot tables and macros
* Good understanding of current UK and International accounting standards
* Ability to thrive under pressure and operate effectively
* Proven experience implementing process and controls
* Strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
* Adapt and transform the reporting out of SAP
* Pro-actively seek out opportunities to leverage SAP functionality by automating and standardising processes and controls globally
* Liaise with internal and external auditors and the Governance team to ensure SAP controls are operating effectively
* Partner with the BI team to develop and manage financial KPI reporting
* Partner with the IT function to identify and address technical SAP issues
* Liaise with the BI team on master data creation and maintenance
* Co-ordinate with AP and BI to monitor system errors and analyst the core issues
* Co-ordinate with HR and SAP support to identify and address SAP knowledge deficiencies and training needs across the global FM teams
* Support the automation of inter and intra company transactions and reconciliations
* Respond to SAP queries across the business
* Global SAP close in accordance with the month-end timetable
* Reporting and analysis for reconciliations, journals, inter- and intra-company transactions and balances
