IBM's Technology Services Delivery Center in downtown Dubuque, Iowa is seeking a Service Delivery SAP Basis Team Leader. This role is responsible for directing and leading assigned employee work activities. The employees (SAP Basis System Administrators) drive service delivery for each account located in our pool.. Candidate is preferred to have (but not required) practical experience in one or more of the following: Server Admin (Unix, Windows or Mainframe), Database Admin (preferred Oracle, SQL, DB2 or similar), Storage Management (distributed servers or Mainframe), Problem Change Applications (Remedy, HPSC, or similar), Mainframe z/OS experience (system programmer, application development or operations roles) and network management. Experience in SAP BASIS is beneficial. The SAP Basis Team Leader will apply a GDF methodology across pooled accounts through IBM internal procedures (Problem/Change, SAD, SARM, etc). The Team Leader collaborates with pool account focals, technical focals, DPEs and SDM . The Team Leader reviews solutions to ensure full root cause is identified and the solutions are implemented in a timely manner. The team leader ensures IBM contractural obligations for their service line is met. Primary Job Responsibilities: Positively support the Team Lead model. Ensuring effective teaming with other teams/departments while providing leadership. Act as an extension of the department manager by supervising the work of the team, which includes but not limited to, assigning and directing work of team members, reviewing and balancing the workload (including days off, vacation days) of team members. Maintain significant discretion regarding hiring, individual and team performance, dismissal, discipline, team efficiencies for department manager final review and appropriate action. Provide formal employee performance evaluation of team members by reviewing each team members results and recommending overall assessments and performance ratings for the department manager's approval, as well as preparing a first draft of PBC objectives for each team member at the beginning of each year. Act as a mentor, providing performance counseling, career progression advice and skills development guidance. Foster a positive work environment to provide a meaningful work experience while sustaining high-level performance. Assist team members with the initial draft of employees Individual Development Plan (IDP). Act as the main point of contact for team members, which includes but not limited to, changes to operational guidelines and procedures, client escalations and resolution, service performance and metrics, input to service strategies, etc. Drive critical situations Ensure all security requirements are met and maintain audit compliance status Additional job role activities Ensure that delivery quality meets SLA requirements and team adheres to stated rhythm segmentation and batching mode With dispatchers, coordinate with project teams and Rhythm/Blues to identify and provide necessary resources in accordance with swing capacity rules and status of queues Conduct daily team huddle (data-driven performance dialogue) Participate in meeting with other team leads Meet weekly with relevant 1st line manager to discuss metrics Attend joint problem solving session with other pools and management Help prepare and provide required dashboard/metric data Required High School Diploma/GED At least 3 years experience in Team Lead Basic knowledge in LEAN Methodologies English: Fluent Preferred Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology At least 5 years experience in Team Lead At least 5 years experience in SAP At least 2 years experience in Unix Additional information ITD's mission is to leverage IBMrsquo;s global scale and advanced technology to deliver standardized solutions that are more automated, repeatable and globally integrated.
