Global Shared Services is the primary interface to the company’s offshore service centers where business process standardization is leveraged to achieve operating efficiencies in software development and testing, content production, and other business process outsourcing (BPO) functions where productivity improvements and increasing levels of quality can be achieved.

The SAP Delivery Manager for Wolters Kluwer Global Shared Services has primary responsibility for providing service delivery management related to SAP and associated interfaces. The Delivery Manager is accountable for SAP operational support and enhancements, basis administration, and infrastructure services provided to sustain the SAP environment. Working in collaboration with the OS Service Delivery Manager and Subject Matter Experts, the Delivery Manager ensures service levels are met or exceeded for the SAP landscape and releases are appropriately planned and delivered to meet required targets and business needs, both locally and in response to the needs of the global business process template. In addition, the Delivery manager establishes and maintains Service Level Agreements (SLAs), sets expectations for release management, and drives the OS delivery team to meet objectives. Activities include: developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of business unit products and processes; managing the daily performance of ERP applications and interfaces; providing overall project management to support and enhancement projects; providing coordinated communication throughout the enhancement/fix process; assisting in planning phases of releases and upgrades; providing exceptional customer service; contributing to process improvement initiatives; managing the OS delivery team; maintaining performance standards while working remotely; and representing Wolters Kluwer within the industry.

The SAP Delivery Manager develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of WK Business Units (BU) products and workflow processes by engaging in self-directed learning; studying product, technical, or executive information provided in a timely manner until mastered; collaborating with BU leaders to maintain an understanding of their workflow, processes, and needs; maintaining comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, processes, and best practices; establishing and maintaining competence in current and planned versions of products; learning about the various service offerings available; learning the standard technical project plan and process; and understanding the use of industry tools and technology and their impact on project goals.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business, or related field OR if no degree, 9 years relevant experience.
• 7 years of managerial background specific to service delivery of complex SAP landscapes.
• 7 years of SAP and related interface applications and technology experience.
• 5 years managing outsourced service organizations.
• 3 years managing SAP Basis Administration and/or database administration services.
• 5 years of in-depth experience with SOX compliance.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

PREFERRED:
• Working with Formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
