SAP FICO Project Manager -MNC FI $60-70K temp-perm recruitment
The Company
Our client is a multi-national financial institution, well known in the market with widespread footprints around the globe. Currently heavily expanding in the Asia Pacific market, with Hong Kong leading several high profile projects, specifically one of them is SAP implementation with Hong Kong taking the lead. As a Project Manager, you will manage internal and external functional consultants, liaising with your counterparts in London, Tokyo, and New York.
The Role
- Owner of Project Management Office and manage global SAP roll out; ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and deliver measurable business and stakeholder benefits
- Act as the key contact between the headquarters and global SAP teams
- Manage the day to day project activities and proactively manage project risks to avoid project delay and overrun
- Manage the performance of vendor/implementation partner to ensure on time and quality deliverables
- Evaluate and analyze company wide business process to ensure alignment of applications with company best practices
- Ensure projects meet business targets and objectives
- Work with senior executive to ensure process owners/users are involved in projects and taking ownership
- Report project status to IT Steering Committee
- Facilitate knowledge and information sharing across multiple projects and team members across the enterprise
- Assist the Project Director to support global SAP planning and deployment activities, including release upgrade, business process improvements and system enhancements
- Assist the Project Director to manage external vendors to ensure high levels of compliance for SLA's
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar disciplines
- Over 8 years IT project management experience and have managed large scale multi-site ERP implementation projects
- Good understanding of the business processes in a manufacturing environment and strong knowledge in ERP system; experience in world wide roll out with global blueprint is a big plus
- Fluency in written and spoken English is MUST
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management at local and corporate locations; excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills to effectively resolve business and team conflicts
- Bias for action and fortitude to challenge the status quo with a results-oriented sense of urgency
- Ability to adopt to different cultures, working environments and be effective in a matrix reporting organization structures
- Proven records in leading and inspiring multi-cultural teams to deliver results
- Good team player, posses strong analytical and project management skills
- Customer orientation with strong presentation and communication skills
- Immediately available is highly preferred and will be considered first
