SAP HR Programmer / Business Analyst Job in Charlotte, North Carolina US

Candidates must be willing to work 75 miles away in Spartanburg, SC.

Supports the company's Human Capital Management System.

 

Specific emphasis for support will be placed on supporting Time Management including Quota Configuration, Absence and Attendance Management, and Time Evaluation configuration and schema.

 

Coordinates and takes the lead role for the technical/functional development and support of SAP HR IT applications : Time Management, Time Management Configuration, Payroll, Personnel Administration, ESS/MSS, Organizational Management, E-Recruiting, as well as company SAP HCM custom

systems and solutions.

 

Plans, designs, develops, and implements efficient HR IT systems in support of assigned

functions.

 

Applies proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and

resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

 

Performs duties of the IT Applications Specialist.

 

Performs planning, analysis, designing, requirements definition, functional design, development, testing and implementation of IT solutions.

 

Provides support for difficult and complex system environments.

 

Provides support, assistance and training to users.

 

Manages small to medium sized projects with planning, development and implementation of system solutions.   Project management could include budget control responsibility.  Simultaneously coordinates activities for multiple projects. Effectively uses ITPM methodology in performing all tasks.

 

Meets with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements

and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.

 

Ensures compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.

 

Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.

 

Creates systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to application developers.

 

Coordinates and performs in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for company’s modified and new systems.

 

Conducts research on software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

 

Manages contractor/consultants on tasks assigned.

 

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

1) BA/BS in Information Technology or Computer Science OR the equivalent of 4 years professional experience in IT Applications development and support; OR AS degree in Computer Science with 5+ years experience working in an IT applications environment.

 

2) 3+ years experience in SAP Time Management configuration, quota configuration, implementation and post production support experience (R/3 4.7, ECC 5.0 or above).

 

3) 3+ years experience in SAP HR functional design and configuration with ability to resolve issues across the various SAP HCM modules in a hands-on manner.

 

4) 3+ years business, process and technical background in HR/Time/Payroll systems.

 

5) 3+ years experience in a variety of programming languages (preferably ABAP/4, C++, JAVA, HTML, JSP, J2EE, SQL, Oracle, UNIX/LINUX).

 

6) 3 + years experience with all of the following: planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, documenting and training of IT applications; project management; experience working in a customer service oriented, team-oriented, collaborative environment; execution and communication of project plans; knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle; knowledge of IT infrastructure components - Operating System, Networks, Databases, Internet Technologies, etc.

 

7) 1+ year experience communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

 

8) Basic knowledge in cost and budget control.
