SAP IT Functional Lead
Position Description: The SAP IT Functional Lead serves as a resource supporting the SAP HR applications for US and Canada. This includes maintenance of approximately 24,000 employees? master data records, various interfaces of employee and payroll data to and from Ryder locations, other Ryder applications and external vendors. Responsibilities: Address day to day production support (break fixes). Research SAP OSS notes to keep system updated. Request SAP assistance if required. Recommend SAP Best Practices. Perform required system changes and testing to fix issues. Create/Update new enhancement projects : document Requirements, Business Process Procedures, Status, Issues,etc. Perform SAP Configuration changes. Develop Functional Specifications Documents and business flow diagrams for new technical programs. Develop Business Process Procedure (BPP) Documentation for several system areas. ABAP Query/Maintenance- Perform changes or develop new Infosets or Queries. Perform Data Updates-(LSMW Tool) for specific projects/ideas. Review and provide estimates for adding additional functionality via 3rd party software. Document and perform disaster recovery testing. Work with end-users to trouble shoot application issues or problems and recommend sound business solutions. Lead projects that address business requirements and enhancements through design and implementation of SAP solutions. Develop technical and business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts. Expected to work with business process team members (technical and basis) and subject matter experts (end users) to produce requirements and design documents. Perform functional testing to assure that business requirements are being met while following technical standards. Interacts with program management, functional and technical team leads, ABAP team members, Basis (system administration), and business process team members. Participate in support packages, enhancements and system upgrades as needed. Shares responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time product delivery or satisfactory application development and/or support.
