SAP Key User - Maintenance Specialist Job
Job Responsibilities
- Run Maintain Support
- Participate in day-to-day testing (i.e., defects/PQRs) and regression testing
- Conduct end user SAP training.
- Assist with data maintenance. This could include data collection, setup cleanup efforts. Participate in data conversion validation.
- Serve as the first line of support for end users, doing troubleshooting as necessary.
- Work with other Key Users on site and inter-site to resolve issues and raise Inquiries as needed.
- Provide communications and change management training to end users as necessary. (Serve as the link between the BPO and end users.)
- Actively participate in the Workstream (WS) Key User network(s) and associated meetings to help share learnings and document best practices.
- Identify need for and participate/lead root cause analysis of SAP business incidents.
- Actively participate in change to business processes (could include documentation of new operating procedures, assignment of security work roles, and training of end users).
- Provide backup to other members of the run maintain organization (e.g., other Key Users and BPOs) to ensure vacation coverage.
- Provide guidance to end users on best practices; including appropriate use of reporting and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX)
- Ensure SAP outage procedures are documented, maintained and followed.
- Supply Chain Transformation/Value Capture
- Provide input for developing business requirements and scenarios.
- Participate in workshops and presentations to validate/improve the system design.
- Provide input for development of site organizational change management requirements.
- Analyze proposed changes for their site/region for potential impact.
- Audit process metrics and use other reporting tools to identify issues and improvement opportunities.
- Key Users will work with the Business Process Owner (BPO) and other SAP support member(s) (e.g., data coordinators and site integrators) to provide support for the business' SAP needs.
- Key Users are an integral part of the run maintain support structure and will be involved in efforts to ensure SAP is maintained, that new needs are clearly and fully identified, and that all value capture efforts are supported.
- Key Users will take SAP guidance from their BPO and their Site Integrator and/or SC IT Leader.
- Most Key users have other responsibilities; however, there will be at least one COT for the Key User that is related to this role.
- This applies to SAP R/3, APO, BW, and bolt-on systems as appropriate (e.g. PM Module, Prometheus, Datapass, LIMS, IP21, Sabrix, etc).
